Trekking of the Desert programs

8 days and 7 nights (6 to horse)

day 1: Reception I reach the airport of Marrakech or Ouarzazate, reception and transfer in your place of pernotto. Briefing with the person responsible of the trekking, supper and night in hotel or apartment.

day 2: Zagora-Djebel Bani Departure for the base of Zagora, in direction southwest. We will cross the great reg of Feïja that will already give us the measure of the great spaces of the desert. There appocceremo slowly to the last mountainous chain that separates us from the Sahara: the djebel Bani. We must go beyond a small path to serpentine, to the summit of which we will discover a grandiose panorama on the plain one of Feïja and beyond, up to the djebel Saghro. The descent will conduct us in a hold throat to the fund of which we will enter a small oasis often frequented from nomadic. Primo I camp out.

day 3: Djebel Bani-Oued Naam We take back our road on a new desert highland with some tree of acacia that mends us from the sun that it seems to withstand the drought and we reach the first dunes that become as soon as plain pian great we proceed toward south. We won't find limits anymore to the landscape that extends him in front of our eyes. This natural backup zone is in progress of repopulation of gazelles and ostriches. I camp out near the river Naam (naam means ostrich in Arab).

day 4: Oued Naam-Ouled Driss Many passages among the dunes disseminated of trees of tamaris. We can meet a nomadic field constituted by kheïmas (low curtains in wool of dromedary and goat). We will take back the direction for the end of the valley of the Draa, it will appear us some residence in the middle of the palemeto of Bounou. This ksar (strengthened village) is one of the most beautiful of the valley. We immediately will meet the village of Ouled Driss and we will spend the night in I camp out. Visit of a museum and the ksar.

day 5: Ouled Driss-Nesrate We will go up again the valley of the Draa, with a crossing of dunes, and finally a highland (reg) to rhythm more sustained. New passage in the throats at the base of the djebel Selmane. Still on the dunes that will bring aloft us. Sucessivamente, the walk brings us to the palmeto of Tagounit. Crossing of fields and small villages (ksours) from the decorated walls. Our itinerary meets an ancient palmeto silted beside the village of Nesrate. I camp out in the middle of the dunes.

day 6: Nesrate-Oued Drâa Today we will find the animation of the villages and the valley: a succession of ksours and gardens in the heart of the palmeto. Refreshing Omba, the palmeto interrupts when the river Drâa passes in the djebel Bani and to the djebel Tadrart. It stops in this great throat. We will follow then the throat to meet the palmeto, I camp out in the oasis.

day 7: Oued Drâa-Zagora Proceeding toward North for of the serpentine paths in the ksourses and through the cultivated fields of the pameto. We will reach the village of Tinfou where impressive dunes threaten with silting the houses and the cultivations. Some measures of stabilization of the dunes have been takings but their effectiveness it seems weak. The last highland before raggiundere the term of our trekking, to the village of Zagora. Supper and night in I camp out.

day 8: Return Transfer to the airport of Marrakech or Ouarzazate and departure.

On the trek you ride 5 hour each day. Departure it at 10 o’clock in the morning, you have 1,5 hour to eat and prepare for the ride. In the evening we arrive at the bivouac at 17 o’clock. The bivouac is organized by ours guides.

The guide in the jeep will take care of your luggage. So it is important to bring with you money ad personal papers, tee-shirt with long sleeves, sun lotion, your personal drug.

Price for each person:

800€, all included: Transfer and return from ant to the airport to the starting point of the randonnee, all the meals, lodging in Berber collective tent or individual tent (Canadian), rent of horses, the guide for the randonnè, the equipment for the horses.
